One astonishing stat from Manchester United's draw with Burnley shows just how much Erik ten Hag's side are struggling.

United could only muster a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday with Zeki Amdouni's late penalty cancelling out Antony's first Premier League goal of the season.

But it was another no-show from Rasmus Hojlund, who failed to make much of an impression against the Clarets where he did not manage a single shot.

However, the 21-year-old might be excused for his lifeless display when his teammates never bothered to seek him out.

So much so that the player to pass the most times to Hojlund was United goalkeeper Andre Onana - with four completed passes.

Hojlund was taken off after 65 minutes alongside Kobbie Mainoo in a decision that was booed by United fans.

But it was a difficult day for the Red Devils going forward, who still managed ten shots on target.

Ten Hag said after the match: "We created loads of chances as well.

"We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment.

"We are creating loads of chances by playing good football. it was unnecessary to lose control.

"We repaired this at half-time and second half was much better."

Hojlund signed from Atalanta last summer for a whopping £72million and has had a tough debut season in the Premier League.

In 28 appearances, the Denmark international has scored eight times in the league and has shown why United were prepared to fork out top dollar.

But overall, the 1-1 draw has threatened United's chances of even playing in the Europa League with the Champions League dream all-but over.

And it comes after relinquishing the lead against Burnley, who are fighting to stay in the Premier League.

Ten Hag added: "We put ourselves in a winning position and over long courses of the game we dominated.

"Only the second part of the first half where we conceded some chances, but the rest of the game was ours. We were in a winning position and we gave it away."

United next face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on May 6 and cannot afford any more slip-ups with Ten Hag already under pressure.
