Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will take charge of his final game at the club against Wolves this afternoon, and it's live on the talkSPORT App.

The German announced earlier this year he was leaving Anfield after nearly nine successful years, and this is his final curtain call.

Arne Slot has been lined up to replace Klopp, but before all that, Anfield will pay its respects to one of their greatest managers of all time.

It will be a heart-wrenching day for all fans in attendance on Sunday, and the Reds will hope to send the 56-year-old out with a win.

Meanwhile, Wolves have enjoyed a great season under former Liverpool youth coach Gary O'Neil, who can spoil the party at his old club and end the campaign on a high.

Liverpool vs Wolves: So long Klopp

In Klopp's time at Liverpool, the German won the Premier League, Champions League and various other trophies, including the FA Cup.

He provided some memories that will live with Reds fans forever and created some of Liverpool's greatest teams.

His final task as manager will be to accomplish what none of Liverpool’s last six managers have done in their final league game in charge of the club; go out on a win.

Gerard Houllier started the trend in May 2004, with each of Rafael Benitez, Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish, and Brendan Rodgers all failing to depart victorious (D3 L3).

However, forever a cut above the rest, Klopp has won his final league game in charge of both FSV Mainz 05 (May 2008) and Borussia Dortmund (May 2015) and will be desperate to complete his own treble here.

  • Wolves have lost eight and won just one of their nine Premier League games on MD38. Their win rate of 11% on the final day is the lowest of any side currently in the competition, while their current run of losing seven consecutive such games is the joint-longest in English top-flight history.
  • Liverpool haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 10 Premier League games, conceding at least twice in each of the last four. They’ve not conceded multiple goals in five consecutive league games since April 1999.
  • Between Christmas Eve and March 9th, only the current top three sides earned more points in the Premier League than Wolves (22 – W7 D1 L3). Since then, only Sheffield United (2) have won fewer points than Gary O’Neil’s side (5), with Wolves winning just one of their last nine (D2 L6).

Liverpool vs Wolves: What has been said?

Klopp enjoyed his final away game as Liverpool boss.

Speaking after the game, he said: "I enjoyed it.

"I still don't feel that it's the last time. I know it is, I just don't feel it.

"I was completely in the game, but the away fans were absolutely insane.

"It is a wonderful relationship, and I always try to show my appreciation."

  • Liverpool have conceded at least once in each of their last 10 Premier League home games. They last had a longer run without a league clean sheet at home between January and November 1954, a run of 17 games that included relegation to the second division.
  • Mo Salah is set to make his 250th Premier League appearance for Liverpool in this match. The Egyptian already has the second-highest combined goals and assists tally by any player in their first 250 appearances for a single club in the competition (223 – 155 goals, 68 assists), behind only Thierry Henry for Arsenal (243 – 171 goals, 72 assists).
  • No Wolves player has scored more Premier League goals this season than Hwang Hee-chan (12). He gave his side the lead in the reverse fixture against Liverpool at Molineux – the last Wolves player to score home and away against the Reds in a league campaign was John Richards in 1972-73.
