Leeds United outcast confirms move away will be sealed in coming days

Speaking to Greek website All About ARIS – as cited by Football Transfer TavernLeeds United’s forgotten man Laurens de Bock has said that his move to Greek side ARIS Thessaloniki is set to be completed in the coming days.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, Leeds United’s forgotten left-back Laurens de Bock has been one of the players the Whites have been looking to move on, with Marcelo Bielsa moving on a number of deadwood and fringe players in order to cut down the size of his squad.

While the club have been looking to sell de Bock and links away from the club have persisted over the course of the season, the Belgian is yet to leave. However, it has now been said by de Bock himself that a move away from Elland Road is imminent, with ARIS Thessaloniki – who have been keen on the left-back over the course of the summer – set to snap him up.

Speaking on the rumoured move to the Greek side, de Bock said:

All is well. We found them with ARIS and in the next few days I will be in Thessaloniki.”

De Bock’s time in the Championship with the Whites will hardly stick in the memory of supporters for long, having played only seven times since joining from Club Brugge back in January 2018. He was offloaded to Belgian side KC Oostende last season and the club opted against bringing him in permanently, meaning he has spent this summer looking for a new club.
